Our Mission
The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence - Orange County will be the leader and most highly visible central source of information in our region for education, prevention, intervention, and referral to programs of treatment for alcoholism and other drug and/or chemical dependency.
To achieve our mission, NCADD-OC:
- Provides leadership in formulation of public policy issues
- Gathers and disseminates valid educational information about abuse of alcohol and other drugs, alcoholism, other drug addiction, and related problems
- Recruits and organizes a county-wide constituency in support of these efforts
- Creates broad-based approaches to marketing, brokering, and distributing innovative programs and services based on the latest research and information
We offer our Drinking Driver Program (DDP) in Irvine and Santa Ana for individuals convicted of DUI. Additionally, our Community Alliance Network (CAN) program provides comprehensive alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention services throughout Orange County.
Objectives:
- Decrease alcohol, tobacco and other drug related issues in Orange County
- Increase county-wide awareness about emerging alcohol and drug trends.
- Create partnerships to help communities address alcohol, tobacco and other drug problems.
